5. ME-33 zero-latency setup

Connect it this way: guitar into the BOSS ME-33, then ME-33 OUTPUT L (MONO) into Focusrite Input 1 with a 1/4-inch cable. Start with the Focusrite input in LINE mode and its gain low. If the level is unusually weak, try INST with the gain still kept low. Turn on the Focusrite's Direct Monitor switch or direct-monitor mix, then listen through headphones or speakers connected to the Focusrite. Browser monitoring is locked off because that round trip creates the delay. The app still records the ME-33 and plays the backing track normally.
Chrome calls every audio interface input a “microphone” for permission purposes. The selected device can still be your Focusrite carrying the ME-33 signal, not the laptop microphone.
